The Birmingham Brass Band are a friendly, sociable 4th section brass band who play in and around Birmingham for numerous functions, including;
- Botanical Gardens
- Trentham Gardens
- Concerts (Spring/Xmas/Proms)

- … and many more
Specifically, they are looking for some percussion players (Kit, Timps, Glock, etc) who may be interested in joining the band, or even just helping out from time to time. It is a great opportunity to try a diverse range of music, improve team work and listening skills and have great fun with a bunch of like minded musicians.
They play literally anything – Traditional brass band marches, Classical pieces, pop music, film music. The Birmingham Brass Band really like to give the audience a mixture of musical genres and most importantly entertain them and would love a percussionist to really enhance the sound.
They practice on Tuesdays and Thursday evening 7.30 – 9.30pm at Joseph Chamberlain College, Highgate, not far from Birmingham City Centre. The Birmingham Brass Band have a proud history and able to trace their roots back to the founding of the Fisher & Ludlow Works Band during the Second World War.
Their contribution to the community of Birmingham was recognised in 1976 by the city council, leading to them becoming known as the City of Birmingham Brass Band. They are a registered charity (Registered Charity No. 700361) and continue to contribute to the vibrant and diverse music scene that Birmingham has become both nationally and internationally renowned for.
