Greg is a fantastic teacher and a great guide to the seemingly never ending world of guitar. Having properly started learning the instrument in my early twenties, like many others I was initially reliant on Youtube videos and dvd lessons to progress. I can honestly say that in terms of progress, working with Greg has pushed me to expand my repertoire and open myself up to new styles of playing. I imagine that if I was still in my bedroom using learning resources on the internet, I would not be as rounded a player as I am now. I have gone from someone who preferred to just play endless blues songs to having multiple classics in my repertoire (e.g. Let It Be, Take it easy) and have even begun to enjoy singing and playing at the same time. Greg’s encouragement and positivity has helped ensure that playing the guitar is a truly great part of my life. Thank you Greg!

Like many people I have had many attempts to learn to play Guitar over the years but often reached a plateau and gave up. When I stopped full time work I found Greg who is by far the best Guitar teacher I have found. It only takes me around half an hour to get to his place from just North of Wandsworth Bridge. Many songs I could sort of play but in in full and not properly but Greg fixed that and I can now play a large number of songs properly and my technique and ability to pick up new stuff has improved dramatically. He is a great guy making learning fun. I would recommend Greg if you are just starting or have been playing for years.

I have always wanted to play the guitar and have been taking lessons with Greg for 8 months now. I live in Wimbledon and Greg is conveniently located nearby. Depending on traffic it is an approximate 10-15 minute drive. There is onsite parking which is a real plus. I enjoy listening to most music but in particular I like rock and folk. Some of the songs that I have been learning to play are Talkin’ About A Revolution by Tracy Chapman and Let It Be by John Lennon. I can highly recommend Greg! He is an incredibly skilled and experienced guitarist and an amazing teacher. He is able to deliver information and instruction in a way that is easily comprehensible to the novice. I was an absolute beginner when I started lessons but Greg put me totally at ease from day one and has been extremely patient, supportive and encouraging. I have learnt so much in a short amount of time. Greg always makes lessons fun and interesting and each lesson inspires me to enhance my playing and knowledge. I am enjoying each and every moment of learning to play the guitar. Thank you Greg for helping to make a lifelong dream come true!

I decided to try to play a song as a surprise for my wife at our wedding as I had a guitar (which she had bought for me as a present!) that I had never learned to play. Having tried to teach myself for a while, I realised that expert help was needed with only a few weeks to go. Living close to Wimbledon/Raynes Park, getting to Greg’s place was a convenient drive away. Thanks to Greg’s laid back approach, genuine passion to help me improve and some intensive lessons, the project was a success. 3 years on, I continue to make improvements with my guitar playing thanks to regular lessons with Greg. We generally do this by learning songs, and I can now competently play 15+ songs that either I or he selected. He is very open to helping students play music of any style they choose in order to make it as fun for you as possible, while also recommending songs that will help hone a specific skill, such as finger-picking. Recently, we have worked on JCB song (Nizlopi) and Take It Easy (Eagles) I would definitely recommend Greg to aspiring guitar players.
