More About My Lessons

Learning any musical instrument should first and foremost, be an enjoyable experience for all who embark upon such journeys. I always ensure a positive and productive atmosphere, and encouragement is always given to those who need it.

Though lessons are kept positive and fun, the material I present will keep students busy and progressing. By achieving manageable goals on a regular basis, you will be developing your technique, articulation and musicality in highly effective and proven manners.

Every lesson is tailored and presented with each student's specific skill level and musical interests in mind. It is important that my students grow to love their instrument, and what better way to achieve that than by allowing them to set the pace.

Teacher Tips

Supporting Every Aspect Of Learning Clarinet

From in-lesson guidance to helping you find the right instrument

Music Shops in Chester

Many students regularly ask where they can find excellent outlets that provide instruments most suitable to their needs. Fortunately in Chester and surrounding areas, there are several note worthy stores which provide instruments and servicing for all types of player.

Boasting a great range of clarinets from entry level to professional grade instruments, Dawsons is located at 30 Pepper Street, Chester, CH1 1DF.

Curly Woodwind, located at 38 Renshaw Street, Liverpool, L1 4EF, is a provider of premium grade instruments for the more seasoned clarinetists. However, they also have a rental service which may be useful for beginners who wish to test the waters before committing to a more expensive purchase.

Based at Chaise Meadow, Lymm, WA13 9NX, Cheshire Woodwind provides not only a range of high quality instruments, but also a selection of servicing options. Like most orchestral instruments, clarinets are fragile. Cheshire Woodwind could prove useful should your instrument require maintenance at some point in it's life.

You are not required to attend lessons weekly. Many of my students have other obligations and hobbies that also take up their free time, however I would recommend keeping gaps between lessons at no more than two weeks.
