8.12.17 – Duet lesson with Emma

    Warm Ups:
    – Great work with the numbers round, and London’s Burning!

Thank God It’s Christmas (with mics):
    – So much stronger today, great work! Lots more power
    – Keep going over that ending and listen to the recordings I emailed so that you remember what you did
    – Meet up next week and go over it some more, plus your extra harmonies!
    – Can’t wait to hear it live!

7.12.17 – Duet lesson with Emma

    Warm Ups:
    – Harmony scales – tricky but you got there in the end so well done! Good listening skills 🙂

    Thank God It’s Christmas:
    – Good work with the harmonies!
    – Practice ad lib ending plus the last “for one day” which is higher (I have emailed you a take with a shorter ending – just follow the document lyrics)

You just need to both get more confident with this song as you’re holding back a lot. The notes are correct so just own it!

    Thank God It’s Christmas:
    – Practice the song more before next time using the doc to help you
    – Decide what you want to do with the ending, perhaps chat to each other about it!

    Thank God It’s Christmas:
    – Great start on this
    – Spend some time learning the second half (melody changes a bit)
    – Try some harmonies as we did today

    Sir Duke:
    – Don’t shout in the chorus until “over” find the right shape in your mouth (pushing jaw forward a little sometimes helps me) to create the belted, full chest sound!
    – Don’t stretch your neck

    Who’s Loving You:
    – Sounds great but really find that soul sound with a bit more oomph
    – Make it fit with the piano (then we can return to it in the new year and improve the piano to work around YOU more!)
    – “since you’ve been gone” was amazing! Keep that sound throughout
    – Just use that lighter head voice for the high bit
    – I want to film this one! The best you’ve ever sounded.

Ben prabe mi boca para ber cómo te sabe
Quiero quiero quiero ber a cuanto amor a tite cabe
Yo no tengo prisa yo me quiero darel viaje
    Empecemo lento, después salvaje

    Pasito a pasito, suave suavecito
No vamos pegando, poquito a poquito
Cuando tú me besa con esa destreza
    Veo queres malicia con delicadeza

    Pasito a pasito, suave suavecito
No vamos pegando, poquito a poquito
Ye quesa bell(y)eza es un rompecabeza
Pero pa montarlo aquí tengo la pieza
