    Despacito:
    – Sounds great – do it for the showcase!
    – Go through the lyrics slowly!

    Fallin’
    – Try the 2 emailed lower keys
    – Careful with the runs of “I keep” on the beat first time, but before the beat second time
    – “Oh oh” is higher than you think

    – Singing Bella Señora major and minor and on your own without piano (very good!)
    – Singing intervals: 4ths (London’s Burning) and 5ths

    Valerie:
    – Great edits today – see if you’re happy with it after listening to the below and start singing harmonies to it!

    – Start thinking about harmonies!

    Valerie:
    – Great punchy, sound! Great diction. Lots of attitude and energy!
    – Well done with the lyrics too!
    – Broken down verse: Perhaps a “mm” then a big “ohhhh” as you build up to the bridge – lots of great ad lib opportunities
    – Change the next bridge
    – Higher “why don’t you come on over Valerie” – harmony version
    – Listen to Amy’s outro, run down at the very end

    Hero:
    – Great work with this with your dad today. I loved it – check out the recording I emailed of you going through the song. Hopefully it helps with providing more ideas/things to work on
    – Don’t be shy of belting it out – good mic technique – just pull it back when belting and then for head voice and quieter low notes, right near the mic.
    – Great work with the ad lib too! You’re a natural 🙂

    9.3.17

    Hero:
    – Great work with this today! It’s beautiful for your voice
    – Keep working on this with your dad and get him to sing harmonies 😉

    Valerie:
    – This is great for your voice! Sing it in the original key (Eb) as this is perfect for you!
    – Go for that high bit (which is a harmony a 3rd above the melody of “why don’t you come on over Valerie”)

    – Complete! Yay! REALLY well done. Have shared it on Facebook! You deserve the cred after months of hard work.

    Birthday No.1 Showcase Song:
    Hero (Australia)
    Walk On (Portugal no. 1)
    Look up French one?
Choose a song for next time or maybe even think about how a mashup could work?

    Valerie:
    – Getting out your loud, twangy voice – would love to hear this next time!

    Stevie Wonder – Superstition:
    – Use the pentatonic scale in Em to get into it!
    – Take the chorus higher each time
    – Start adding runs

    I Wish:
    – Great for your voice, do more of this!
    – Belt/twang it until you get to the high “you” which you can do in head voice
