Hi Eliza – I’d say bite the bullet! Try and see if you can put it to something else. When I raised prices I was able to say that my rent on the building was going up (because it was, although not as much as I raised the prices to!). But you might be able to say that it’s down to some other expense. Hope it goes well! 🙂
Hmmm difficult when I teach from home. It’s the joint singing and piano lessons to begin with, not sure about putting up general prices yet. But the learning of both, how can I explain where the cost is increased..?
I have higher prices for new students and put prices up for long standing students with a letter/email stating inflation etc and that i value my longstanding students which is why the price is competative in comparison to other teachers schools etc worked fine.. just put up lesson prices by a pound but thats pure profit and work it out however much a year 🙂 hope that helps
