My name is Chloë Mullett and I am a professional flute teacher based in Liverpool, offering high quality tuition for students of all ages in a wide range of styles.
I take great pride in offering the highest quality flute lessons that I can. I understand that learning an instrument can sometimes be a difficult task and as such I will always try and keep our lessons as fun and informative as possible. My main teaching method is to teach you the songs that you love by your favorite artists as I find this is a great to help keep you motivated and driven when overcoming the challenges we all face while learning an instrument.
The lessons provided are always tailored to suit you and your specific goals. All musicians want and love different things about music. We will come up with a lesson plan that identifies your weaker areas and together we can help you make the improvements you need to get to that next level. The lessons include both practical elements to help you improve on the flute, but also music theory elements which helps you not only become a better performer but a better all round musician too.

I take great pride in being a versatile teacher who can teach in all different genres and styles. No matter which direction you would like to take the lessons in, together we can go through any song or style that you enjoy. I will not only teach you the songs that you love, but I will show you techniques and tips for how to work out songs by ear so you can learn any song you want.
I understand that each musician has their own goals and aims when it comes to learning an instrument so I will always take the time to get to know you to make sure we are always learning material that keeps you engaged. I want you to always leave our lessons feeling excited about what you have just learnt to help keep you motivated and keen to go and practice in between the sessions.
Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.
I have experience in teaching students of all abilities in a wide range of styles. Whatever stage you are at, I break down the steps needed so that progress is within reach. All lesson plans are 100% personalised and based on your needs and interests.
I have experience in teaching beginners students
I have 20+ years of experience performing, teaching in schools, universities and privately 1-1. I teach flute, saxophone, piano, music theory, songwriting and arranging (inc. Logic Pro X). I directed a choir for many years, and have experience teaching groups aged 8 to adults.
My qualifications include PhD Music Creativity (forthcoming), MA Popular Music Studies, BA Hons Music, specialising in performance and film music, A-level French, Music, Sociology (AAA), Apple Logic Pro X 101 certified, ABRSM Grade 6 Piano, ABRSM Advanced Certificate Flute, ABRSM Grade 8 Flute (distinction), Music Theory grade 5 and more.
I teach students in a wide range of styles
We start by building lessons around what you love to listen to in your spare time. Supporting materials such as demonstration videos help you to stay on track between lessons.
I can teach graded exams if you would like. This is not essential but is available for those who want to learn that way, and is an excellent way to progress. I have studied and taught up to Grade 8 and Advanced Certificate level (ABRSM exam board), I have experience of jazz grades, successfully teaching students up to BA Hons degree level.
Whatever you choose, I ensure my students build a wide range of skills including playing ability, good posture and technique, music reading, theory understanding, aural skills, confidence and communication skills. It’s all about the magic of music!

ABC Drums, located at 19 Cheapside, Liverpool L2 2DY is one of the best stores in the area for a wide range of drum equipment. You can find everything here from sticks to kits. This is obviously the place to be if you are a drummer.
Rimmers Music, Is a local all round music store where you can find everything from drums to guitars & a wide range of equipment for all musicians.
I can help you rapidly progress your flute playing in no time at all. I will personalise your lessons & help you work on your weaknesses and maintain your strengths. My lessons are £22.50 per 1/2 hour, £28.25 per 3/4 of an hour and £34 per hour for all students.
I take most of my lessons from my home teaching space in the L17 3BE area of the city. This is a great place to learn to play where you can feel comfortable and at home whilst learning.
Music should be or everyone & because of this I offer my lessons to students of all ages (6+).
Weekly lessons are best for fast results however, not essential, you are welcome to learn as and when you like.
A minimum requirement of 48 hours' notice is required to cancel without payment if a lesson cannot be rearranged within the same week.
