My Experience as a Teacher

I have been a professional musician for over 15 years, having worked both nationally and internationally with artists across a range of contemporary genres. I have recorded in some of the UK's best studios, such as Metropolis Studios and Universal Studios, plus I have performed in some of the best venues in London including the 02 academy Shepherds Bush and Camden Roundhouse to name a couple.

I currently hold a Bachelors degree from the BIMM Institute in London as well as a Masters degree in Music and Sonic Media, where I excelled in composition for multi-media and sound design. Outside of performance, I compose for a variety of different multimedia streams such as podcasts, TV, film and documentaries.

As a guitar teacher, I have been active for over 10 years, working with students from all over the world to help them achieve their guitar playing goals, be it learning songs, theory, soloing or exams, I can help you.

I will build my lessons around you. Together we will decide what direction you want to learn in and what you want to achieve as well as how we are going to get there. We will learn together until we get there.

My guitar lessons are always taken from your own home which means that you can learn in comfortable surroundings. This is one of the key aspects of improving your playing rapidly.

During our lessons we will learn the songs that you love & learn in a direction that you want to. If you love rock then that's what we will learn, or if you love jazz then that's what we will go for. I'm experienced in teaching all ages of learner as well as students of all ability levels.

Do I have to attend lessons every week?

I recommend weekly lessons for the best results but this is not essential. You are welcome to take lessons as and when you like.

What happens if I have to cancel a lesson?

Please note Guitar Lessons Brixton operates 24-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel on the day or have to rearrange a lesson within 24 hours then I require the full £40 hourly fee for the lesson.
