Welcome to Guitar Lessons Exeter! My Name is Simon Perry and I am a professional guitar teacher. I have over 5 years experience in teaching guitar & have been offering high-quality lessons for quite some time now. I currently teach from my home teaching space located Greyfriars Rd (EX4 7BS). It is a relaxing and homely place to learn to play that is easy to access from all ends of the city.

I Here is a quick summary of my guitar lessons:

I am a qualified teacher having gained a BA in popular music performance. I also have years of experience in teaching as well as live performance experience.

My approach to teaching is very clear. That is to teach my students what best suits them. If you want to learn a few songs to impress your friends, that is what we will do. If you only want to learn AcDc songs then I am happy to accommodate that also. I feel the key to enjoying lessons is to learn what you want to learn.

Beginner students are more than welcome to come for lessons, as are more experienced students. No matter what situation you find yourself in, I will do my best to create a lesson plan that best suits your needs. Learners of all ages are also welcome to take lessons. Lessons & Prices

My lessons as stated previously are heavily focussed and built around what my student’s preferences are. I believe that incorporating the music that you want to learn will make playing and lessons far more enjoyable for you. I will make sure to incorporate song work, as well as a strong understanding of basic theory to ensure you have an understanding of the guitar as well as an understanding of playing. Using these aspects I feel we can get a lot out of our lessons together.

I welcome students of all abilities. If you are a beginner and have no idea where to start. I will approach the lessons in a calm and positive manner ensuring we take the appropriate amount of time on everything to make sure you fully understand it. If you happen to be a more experienced player with a certain goal in mind or are perhaps revisiting guitar and wish to refresh your mind. I will make a lesson plan that ensures we reach your goals as soon as possible.

I charge £16 per half hour / £27 per hour for lessons taught at my home teaching space. For any more information please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
