My Experience as a Teacher

I graduated from BIMM London in 2017 nd this is where I was awarded with a Music Bachelor Degree. Over this period in my career, I have attended lessons and masterclasses with some of the biggest guitar names such as John Wheatcroft, Les Davidson, Jim Clark, Nile Rodgers, Frank Gambale, Larry Carlton, Vinnie Moore, Mike Stern, Oz Noy, Adam Wakeman, Gerry Leonard to name but a few.

Prior to this I was studying music and taking guitar lessons for another 8 years in my hometown Athens in Greece (Musical Praxis Conservatory & National Conservatory of Athens). In my time spent as a musician I have set up several projects performing in a range of styles. These styles include things such as jazz standards and my own original compositions. I have also worked in other genres such as pop/rock, blues, soul, electronic and funk.

I have been working in the UK as a music tutor for the last 7 years teaching classes of all ages at JCM music school and currently at Marie De Bry Arts Academy which has given me the opportunity to work with all kinds of students from many different walks of life. No matter whether you have never played the guitar before, or if you have been playing for years any student is welcome to take lessons with me.

More About My Lessons

My core values as a teacher are enthusiasm, good communication, patience and passion for teaching and learning new things in music. I aim to bring the best out of all of my students with every lesson that I provide being tailor-made to the suit that individual’s ability and pace of learning.

Most of my current students usually take a one hour lesson with me each week. I find that this tends to yield the most consistent results and allows for the most steady development and growth in between the lessons. I would normally recommend that for younger students they should take half hour lessons as I find this is a better way to keep their attention span for the sessions.

By learning your favorite songs by your favorites artists I can ensure that we keep your motivation and drive as high as possible. Overcoming a lack of motivation and inspiration can be very difficult to get passed, but by learning the songs you love we can make sure you're always keen to keep practising and to get through the challenges we all face when learning the guitar.

Here Rich provides a huge range of services, such as setups, repairs, intonation adjustments etc. So if you already have a guitar but it just needs some love, here is a great place to get it up and running again for you to use.

Guitar Guitar Camden, is located around a 15 minute trip away at 16 Delancey Street, Camden, London, NW1 7NH. There aren't really many other good guitar shop options in Fulham so Guitar Guitar Camden has a fantastic selection of instruments in stock at the store as well as offering next day delivery on mail-order.
