I like to build high quality guitar lessons built around your own musical tastes. I believe that one of the most important things to keep in mind when learning guitar is to enjoy what you are learning.
As well as having a high push towards enjoying learning, I will also make sure you get the most out of your learning experience with plenty of theory work, Song work & general understanding of the guitar.

I'm an experienced and knowledgeable guitar tutor with over 30 years of teaching experience. I have a wide range of liver performance expereince which I use to make sure my tuition is of a high standard. I love to share my knowledge and love of guitar and can explain any aspect of music in a simple, concise manner.
Above all else I want you to enjoy your lessons. This is why I will keep lessons at a pace that you can enjoy and also making sure you learn the music you love as well.
Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.

I have plenty of experience in teaching beginners.
I have been performing music and teaching guitar professionally for over 30 years. Originally from West Sussex, I've been based in Glasgow for over 20 years.
I regularly perform various styles of music, including singing at weddings, restaurants and private functions, and teaches all levels of ability and all styles of playing, from rock, blues, funk and country to classical, Flamenco and other popular fingerstyles. Many of my students have gone on to pursue a career in music.
I was featured in ‘Guitarist’ magazine after becoming a finalist in the National guitarist of the year competition for both electric and acoustic guitar styles.

Lessons are tailor suited to the individual student’s requirements and unique learning style, and a structured musical understanding is incorporated into each lesson, and songs are often chosen by the student
Music theory, music reading and all-important ear training concepts can be taught in a progressive manner if required, and both acoustic and electric guitar exams can be prepped for.
I'm a really approachable person and will always happy to work through any problems or issues together until we have a solution. I was there before & this has made me a really patient person who understand how difficult the learning process can be.

Glasgow is a wonderful city for guitar shopping. There is a great range of stores so you're sure to find whatever you might need.
In the city centre on Trongate is the ever helpful Guitar Guitar Glasgow which is spread across 3 separate stores. One for acoustic, one for electric and one for pro audio. The staff are friendly and helpful and their prices are some of the best around. Not only are the staff fantastic, but they also have a great mail order selection on their website. Can't get to the store? No problem.
If you're chasing a vintage model with some charm then be sure to check out Strung Out Guitars. Based over in King Street, just a short walk from the St Enoch underground stop and with plenty of parking in the area, you're sure to find something interesting here.
Kenny's Music is also worth visiting. They stock wall to wall guitars, basses and everything else you can imaging. You won't have a hard time finding what you're looking for here, regardless of what you might be seeking.

My lessons are currently charged at £25 per hour for all students.
I take the majority of my lessons from a teaching space located on Anwoth Street, Glasgow, G32 7RW, UK. This is a great place to learn where you can feel comfortable whilst learning. I also provide online lessons where you can learn from the comfort of your own home.
I have experience in teaching both young learners and adults & offer my lessons for ages 10+.
It's entirely up to you how often you attend lessons but for the best results I would recommend taking a lesson once a week combined with plenty of home practice.
If you cancel a lesson with less than 48 hours notice you will still be charged for it.
