Hello! I'm Lucas Polo, a professional guitar teacher based in London. I provide high-quality guitar lessons in the heart of London.
I am interested in a wide range of styles and this reflects in my teaching. I teach everything from Blues to Rock to Funk & anything else in-between you can think of.
I offer both acoustic or electric lessons. Whatever you are interested in, I will be happy to teach you.
I teach a wide range of ages however, I would recommend starting to learn no younger than 10. I feel that this is the most productive age to start learning from.
I am an extensively qualified teacher having achieved a BMus (Hons) at The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London.
Professional guitar lessons built around your musical tastes and interests in London.
I would recommend my half-hour lessons for some of my younger learners or perhaps those who have a busier schedule and can't commit fully to learning. Sometimes learn little and often can be very beneficial to see real progress in your playing.
I recommend my one-hour lessons to those who want to really learn rapidly and have plenty of time to practice during the week. I would, however, not recommend an hour lesson for younger learners. My hour lessons are by far my most popular option.
Lucas started teaching me the guitar in 2016. It was great to finally be able to play some of the songs I'd always wanted to learn. He's a very patient and dedicated teacher!
I am a vastly experienced teacher who has been teaching for over 4 years. As well as this I have completed tours in Japan, the U.S., Europe and South America, recorded at some of the best-recording facilities in the world ( Metropolis, Toe Rag, 54 Sound) and played with artists like Phil Manzanera (Roxy Music, David Gilmour)
As a guitarist and music lover, I love all genres of music. I will always make sure this is reflected in my teaching. If you are interested in Blues, Reggae or anything in-between I will always make sure we gear towards your preferences.
I am located in an easy to access location where you can feel comfortable whilst learning. I feel the key to learning the guitar is to enjoy it and to feel comfortable whilst learning.
The most important thing to me, as well as learning, is that you enjoy your lessons. I will always try my best to make sure every lesson is suited to your needs and tailored to your music tastes to make sure it is as enjoyable as possible.
I currently take the majority of my lessons from my home teaching studio on St Cuthberts Rd, London NW2 3QL. This is a great place to learn as it is a safe and comfortable environment where you can learn to your full potential.
I also provide home visits. This means I will visit you in your own home for lessons. Please get in touch using the email provided if this is something you are interested in.
