Welcome to Guitar Lessons Manila! My name is Owen Evans! I am a professional native English speaking guitar tutor with years of teaching experience currently based in Metro Manila. I teach mostly from my home based in Taguig. It is a great place to learn guitar & practice your English at the same time!

I am a highly qualified tutor having gained a Diploma in music as well as being a registered guitar teacher at the London College of Music. I have over 8 years of experience in teaching guitar in the UK & online via Skype. I’ve also gained experience in playing live for over 10 years as well as recording and touring all over Europe.

I have a clear approach to teaching guitar. That is to teach you what you want to learn. If you wish to only learn a few chords or want to learn how to shred I have you covered. I will do this by incorporating a mix of song work & exercises as well as focusing on technique and a good base of theory.

Beginner students are more than welcome to come for lessons. I have a host of experience in teaching beginners and young learners. However, if you are a more experienced player and want to learn something specific I also have lots of experience at teaching players of a higher level.

Lessons & Costs

My lessons are very goal focussed, ensuring that all of my students get the best out of their lessons regardless of their goal or aim. I like to make sure that my lessons are driven by what you want to learn and your own musical preferences. During your first lesson, I will make sure we discuss what it is you want to learn and how we can achieve that in the best way possible.

I welcome students of all abilities, so whether you are a beginner or a more experienced player I will create a lesson plan that suits what you want. If you have never picked up a guitar before I will make sure we start with the basics and work everything from there. If you are a more advanced player and wish to concentrate on something specific this is also something I can help with. I have helped hundreds of players reach their full potential over the years so no task is too difficult for me.

Location of Lessons

I currently teach from my own home teaching space based in Acacia Estates, Taguig ( roughly 10 mins from BGC & Mckinley). I believe this is a great place to learn the guitar because I have created a relaxed and homely environment. Home visits are also available if you can cover my travel costs.
