My name is Lee Cunliffe and I am a professional guitarist with over 15 years of teaching experience. I love meeting new students and guiding learners of all ages, using skills taught to me by some of the worlds best.
For years, I have taught guitar in a wide variety of styles. Having an eclectic range of students has always encouraged diversity in my own playing and, as a result, the feedback that I give students on any guitar variant is informed and effective.
Some of my own musical achievements have included my BA Hons Degree in music, my longstanding career as a professional musician and my endorsement with the excellent Gordon Smith Guitars. I offer both in-person and online lessons, providing direct audio quality for Zoom and Skype alongside PDF tablature and backing tracks provided with each lesson.

Since I began teaching guitar in 2004, my students have been a wonderfully mixed bag of ages, ability levels and musical interests. No matter where you may currently find yourself along your guitar journey, I guarantee that our lessons will provide great value to your playing with use of focussed and methodical practice methods.
One of the greatest joys of being a full time musician is simply watching my students develop as players in their own right. Some of my students have even gone on to teach guitar themselves, and I look forward to finding what the future holds for my current learners who regularly impress me with their progress.
Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.

As well as my playing, I have always strived to improve my own teaching to ensure my lessons are efficient, effective and enjoyable for all who benefit from them. The materials I present to students are of unbeatable quality; from practice backing tracks created on professional audio software to tabs printed from reputable companies.
I have enjoyed teaching hundreds of students since 2004, and will always love meeting new beginners and enthusiasts. My extensive experience has helped me refine my techniques as a teacher, and as a musician.
Learners of all ages from 6 years old upwards are welcome to begin their musical journeys with my lessons, and advanced players will always find something new to expand their knowledge and vocabulary on guitar.

In our lessons, we will follow a structured and logical plan that will be tailored entirely to your own specific musical interests, age and ability. No one guitarist is the same, so I believe that lessons should account for the differences between each individual.
Though lessons are methodically laid out and presented, they are also very relaxed. Learning any instrument should be a fun and exciting process, so it is my job to keep you encouraged, comfortable and eager to reach the next step!
With each lesson, we will set achievable goals to keep you busy throughout the week. Most progress comes from practice time at home, so it is important that you have a clear understanding of how to get the most out of your dedication.
From finding your first instrument to learning you first solo
Many of my students over the years have enquired about where to find the best instruments and resources. Luckily, there are several excellent establishments close to Prestatyn that offer quality music products.
Mayall's Music Co., located at 9 Bangor Rd, Conwy, LL32 8NG, is a great music store for both experienced players and complete beginners. They offer a fantastic range of guitars at all price points and also stock useful tools such as picks, capos and tuners.
Apollo Music, can be found in Pyramids Shopping Centre, Princes Pavement, Grange Precinct, Birkenhead, CH41 2XY. Apollo Music is another brilliant store offering a selection of instruments, suitable to all ages and abilities.
Back Alley Music is a music shop, located on 5 Chester Street, Mold, CH7 1EG with an enormous range of instruments; from Fender to Guild. This shop would also serve beginners and experienced players alike, very well indeed.
I am an experienced, patient and enthusiastic guitar teacher with a passion for watching students develop and achieve their own musical goals. After receiving a BA degree in Music with guitar as my primary instrument, I have enjoyed guiding students of all ages and abilities since 2004.

My guitar lessons cost £25 per hour.
Lessons can either take place at my home in Prestatyn, or online through Zoom or Skype. I pride myself in offering a comfortable and relaxing learning space where students are always made to feel welcome!
I teach all ages upwards of 6 years old. It should be noted that I have seen great results in adult beginners, so it is certainly never too late to start learning an instrument!
You are not required to attend lessons each week, however I do recommend that students leave no longer than two weeks between sessions. This is simply to keep memories fresh and fingers developing at a consistent rate!
Full lesson charge payable 24 hours prior to lesson and if a student cancels within 24 hours of the arranged lesson time then no refund but can rebook if there is availability subject to my approval.
