About Your New
Guitar Lessons Teacher

Personalised guitar lessons with an experienced teacher

I am a self-taught player who has achieved a very high standard when it comes to ability and technique. I've also been playing for twelve years, and have been professionally active for at least ten of those.

I like to make sure all of my students develop the creative capabilities to explore the guitar and everything it has to offer. I feel this is the best way you can find your own preferences and style. .

Despite being self-taught, when it comes to music I am very qualified in the field. I currently hold a BSc in Sound Technology & Digital Music.

Above all else, I want you to enjoy playing, I really feel that it is important that everyone who is learning something new wants to do so and enjoyment is usually the key to fast progress. .

Local Guitar Teacher Tips:

Music Shops in Swindon:

There is a wide range of great music shops in the local area. One of my favourites has to be Holmes Music on Faringdon Road, SN1 5AR. This shop is especially great for those wanting to buy a beginner guitar or need some advice on what to buy.

Another go-to place for me would always be Kempster & Son based on Commercial Road, SN1 5PL. This is an independent store which stocks a wide range of guitars and accessories. I would also recommend this shop if you need to buy sheet music.

Lastly and probably the most local typed store would be Brian Taylor Music on High St, SN4 7AB. This again is an independent typed store that stocks a great range of guitars and basses.

Music Courses in Swindon:

There is a wide range of further educational options in the area. Probably the most obvious option would be The Academy Of Music who offer many great options for those who want to take their musical education further. Their degree options are always rated very highly.

Another option for some of the younger learners who are looking to take their passion for music further would be Swindon College. This is a great place if you are looking to get your foot in the door when it comes to learning about the music industry and how it works.

Lastly if you just want to be involved in music or join a band and be part of musical performances in the area then I would recommend the Swindon Music Cooperative. They have multiple musical groups particularly for young people where you can perform and learn to play music as part of a group.
