My name is Charlie and I am a professional guitar teacher based in Wimbledon. I provide guitar Lessons for students of all ages and abilities, so whether you've never played the guitar before or you're looking to improve on existing skills my lessons are tailored to you to help you achieve those guitar playing dreams.
I take great pride in providing the highest quality guitar lessons possible. I have been tutoring the guitar since 2014 and have taught students from all walks of life. I currently have a grade 8 in Guitar and Music Theory which has proven invaluable in providing insightful and informative lessons for my students.
Although I have a real passion for all things musical, Jazz is something I really enjoy to play and teach. That being said I am fluent and confident in many other styles such as Rock, Metal, Blues, Folk so all styles are welcome.

Having been a Guitar teacher for around 7 years, I have worked with students from all age ranges 7 and upwards. I understand that Children will learn different to Adults so I ensure to adapt and tailor my lessons to suit the needs of that individual student.
I take pride in playing an active role in the development of my students and love seeing them grow and develop throughout their musical journey. I have a real passion for all things music and love being able to share these skills with others.
Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.
Having played and taught the guitar for many years, in this time I have studied and performed lots of different styles and genres. Whether it's pop music that you enjoy or Heavy metal, Blues or Jazz, no matter what artists or styles you enjoy, together we can work through those pieces you've always dreamed of playing.
Introduction to Guitar, Tuning the Guitar, Playing Chords and Progressions, Names of the Strings
I have played the guitar for around 9/10 years and have been teaching it since 2014. I am passionate about what I do and I take great pride in trying to offer the best quality lessons possible. Working with such a wide range of students has allowed me to be flexible and tailor my lesson plans to that individual.
I like to think that my teaching style is rather relaxed, ensuring a comfortable learning environment for the lessons but still providing high levels of insight and information throughout the session. I feel that learning an instrument should be a fun experience and as such I like to try and keep it this way.
The lessons provided will cover a wide selection of Musical Topics and will have a fine balance between the practical side of guitar playing and the theoretical side of music too. Understanding Music Theory and the behind the scenes is crucial in growing into an all around better musician.
Learning Complex Pieces, Advanced and Extended Chords, Songwriting and Composition
No matter if you haven't played a guitar before, or if you've played guitar for years, every once in a while we all hit a bit of a wall. My job is to help you identify your weak areas and together we will address and work on these by learning songs together and working through exercises and set pieces.
I currently have a Grade 8 qualification on Guitar so no matter how technical and difficult the songs may be, together we can work through them and explore the techniques and composition behind the pieces. I find that a great way to improve is by learning songs you love as it ensures you're always motivated to want to keep working on them even if things get a little tricky.
I am primarily an online teacher, especially with the COVID situation at the moment so most of my lessons are done via FaceTime, Skype, Zoom etc. Please do still ask about face to face lessons and it could possibly be arranged.
As a passionate musician, I am always happy to support my students outside of the lessons too. Whether this be advice on buying your first guitar, or upgrading your amp I'm always happy to talk all things music and be there to help where I can.

Sutton Music Centre, is located a little outside of Wimbledon on 31-35 St Nicholas Way, Sutton SM1 1JN. This is a must go to place for all things guitar, with huge racks of them on display for you to try out and choose from.
Guitar Classics, is a great guitar store located 38 Webb's Rd SW, London SW11 6SF. Here you'll find a great selection of Acoustic and Electric Guitars, as well as being able pick up any further accessories you may need.
Guitar Experience, is exactly as the name suggests. Here you'll find a great selection of guitars, as well as amps, cabs, pedalboards and effects units. This store is located 21 High St, Hampton Wick, Kingston upon Thames KT1 4DA and is definitely worth a try.

My lessons are £12.50 for half an hours lesson or £25 for an hours lesson.
Most of my lessons are taken online at the moment but I do have a teaching space located Hamilton Rd, South Wimbledon, London SW19 1JG.
All students and ages are welcome from 7+.
The frequency of lessons is entirely up to you. I am happy to work around your schedule, although I would recommend one hour a week for the most consistent progress.
Please note that Guitar Lessons Wimbledon operates 48-hour cancellation policy. All lessons cancelled with 48 hours can still be charged for.
