Hello! I'm Amy Papiransky, a professional piano teacher based in Glasgow. I offer high-quality piano lessons in the Glasgow area.
I believe everyone should be able to benefit from the brilliant therapy that playing music offers, this is why I offer piano lessons to students of all ages and abilities.
I have experience playing in almost every style of music, I can offer lessons in Pop, Classical and even Traditional Scottish music.
I am a friendly, honest and open teacher and care very much about my student's interests and ambitions in music. I always give 100% to my teaching and strive to ensure that I bring out the very best in every student.
I am a professional teacher, having spent my life playing, I have performed across Canada, India, Germany and America and played keyboards for Glasvegas. I was also a 2018 Finalist for BBC Young Traditional Musician of the Year.

Half an hour lessons. These are best suited to younger learners of 4+ and beginners who would like an introduction to the piano.
One hour lessons. These lessons are best suited to passionate students who are driven to practice and want to progress quickly in a short space of time.

I am a qualified music teacher. I am Fully PVG registered and have achieved a BMus Degree Education from the University of Aberdeen, ABRSM grade 1‐6 and Trinity Grade 7 and 8 on Piano. ABRSM grades 4‐7 on Violin, Grade 6, 7 and 8 with Distinction in Vocals and ABRSM grade 5 and 6 in Music Theory.
I pride myself on being a friendly, approachable teacher. I offer flexible teaching hours and I am happy to schedule lessons that fit around you and your lifestyle, this makes learning the piano relaxing and enjoyable.
As mentioned above, I have experience playing and teaching a variety of different musical instruments such as Piano, Violin, Singing and Music Theory. This gives me a lot of knowledge and experience to help guide you towards your musical goals.
I offer a student-focused teaching approach that I have developed over many years of teaching in both schools and privately, at home and abroad. I will create a tailored lesson plan based on the music you love and your musical goals.
I currently take the majority of my lessons from my specialised home teaching studio in Mavisbank Gardens area of Glasgow, G51 1HG.
It is a great place to learn to play the Piano with all the resources and equipment that we need for our lessons. It has excellent transport links from across the city, being a few minutes walking distances from Rutland Crescent bus stop and only 1 mile from Cressknock train station.

HND Music Course at Glasgow Glyde College is suitable for students with classical or contemporary training. It provides a broad range of vocational training for students seeking to pursue careers in the music industry.
Music BMus course at the University of Glasgow is a single-subject degree for those who are interested in pursuing a career in music. This 4 years full-time course is designed to provide students with a great foundation in main disciplines and allows students to study subjects of their professional interests in 3rd & 4th years.
