Hi everyone! My name is Samuel & I'm a professional piano player and teacher offering professional tuition in the Greenwich area for learners of all ages and playing styles.
Above all else, I like to make sure all of my students enjoy their lessons. I will always make sure that your lessons are both enjoyable and informative.
During our lessons we will learn in a direction that works for you. We can learn about everything from technique, song work, scales, performing and much more. If you're a beginner and don't know where to begin then I'm more than happy to give you a hand.

I can play a wide range of styles and genres and like to make sure that my students are also open to lots of genres. I'm always happy to gear the lessons towards whatever you're interested in or have an interest in learning.
My lessons are always easy to follow and will be taken at a pace that works for you. I understand that everyone learns in a different way and I will try to adapt my lessons to fir your learning style.
Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.
I welcome students of all ability levels and all ages. I will make a lesson plan that suits your age and learning level.
I'm able to teach beginners.
I'm a London-based professional singer and piano teacher and i'm currently completing a Masters degree in Vocal Studies at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance as the Kathleen Roberts scholar.
I was previously educated at Oundle School where I held a Music scholarship and went on to read Music at the University of Manchester, where I focussed primarily as a pianist, performing works such as Beethoven’s 5th Piano Concerto, Poulenc’s Sonata for Cello and Piano, and many contemporary works by other students.
I have held lay clerkships at Truro, Ely and Christ Church Cathedrals and whilst living in Oxford developed a thriving private teaching practice both freelance and employed as an academic music tutor at Oxford Tutorial College.
I welcome more advanced students to take my lessons.
I now sing regularly at the Tower of London and St Paul’s Cathedral and have joined many leading vocal ensembles such as The Sixteen, Siglo de Oro, TheErebus Ensemble and Britten Sinfonia Voices.
My solo repertoire includes oratorios by Bach and Handel, Lieder by Schubert, Schumann and Beethoven, and a wide variety of operatic roles from the early Baroque to the twenty-first century.
As you can see, I have a wide range of performance experience and I'm also a member of the acclaimed international vocal group the Gesualdo Six.

My lessons are charged at £20 per half hour and £35 per hour.
I take most of my lessons from my home teaching space in central Greenwich.
I teach students of all ages how to play the piano.
Weekly lessons combined with home practice is by far the best way to improve your playing.
Lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours notice will still be charged full price.
