Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.
I teach both beginners and advanced students with carefully created lessons that you can enjoy whilst learning to play the piano.
My love for singing originated in childhood when I was a member of the choir of a music school and we often participated in city song competitions, as well as in the Estonian Song Festival traditionally held every four years. I will never forget this special feeling of singing in the choir of several hundred participants. Years later I graduated from Hull University gaining a 2:1 degree with honors specializing in classical voice. There is also Narva Music School and Tallinn Georg Ots Music School in Estonia under my belt where I studied classical piano as my 1st instrument, popular piano, and Estonian traditional instrument kannel as my 2nd choice.
Studying at the university revealed in me, first of all, the potential as a musician-performer, gave me the opportunity to try myself as a composer, and also opened the world of opera and musical theater for me. I took an active part in opera and operetta productions, festivals, and concerts organized by the university music and drama department.
At the moment, after taking a short break from concerts and performances as a young mother, I continue to give private music lessons to adults and children.
My piano lessons usually include several techniques such as sight-reading, playing by ear, and some improvisation. This approach gives students the freedom and opportunity to become an all-rounded musician, performing different music. At the same time, at the request of the student, we can focus on the classical repertoire and prepare for exams.
Especially when it comes to children, I use a holistic teaching approach. My students also study ear training (solfége) and music theory. As a graduate of Narva School of Music, which is based on the teaching methodology of The St. Petersburg State Conservatory, I consider an integrated approach to teaching necessary. We also participate in local talent competitions with my students.
