Professional, personalised piano lessons in Oxford city centre.
I currently offer one-hour lessons to all of my students. I feel a one-hour long lesson per week is enough to see some real progress over a few months. During the lessons, we will cover everything from theory to song work & technique.
I am an experienced teacher who has been playing since the age of 3. I also have experience in live performance, Composing & conducting all over the UK.
I like to make sure that all of my lessons are enjoyable as the best way to see progress in playing is to enjoy your lessons. Make sure to let me know what music you enjoy so I can include this in your lessons.
For more focused students, I am able to offer lessons to prepare for ABRSM exams (1-8). This is not compulsory but if it is something you would like to try please let me know.
As well as being an accomplished piano teacher, I also teach and play the Cello as well as being an experienced vocalist. I currently hold an ABRSM grade 8 in both Piano and Cello.
I currently take the majority of my lessons from my home teaching studio on Leckford Pl, Oxford, OX2 6JB. This is a great place to learn because I have created a comfortable learning environment where you can feel at ease whilst learning the piano.
My full address will be disclosed upon the booking of your first lesson.

Oxford has a rich history of music and live performance and this is still something that can be experienced today. If you are looking to get started as a musician then there are plenty of music shops to chose from. here are my favourites.
If you are looking for an all-round music shop then PMT Oxford is a great option to go too. They have a great selection of guitars and other instruments and the staff are always very warm and accommodating. They can be found on 381 Cowley Rd, Oxford OX4 2BS.

Lastly if you are looking for a shop that specialises more in classical instruments then Allegro Ltd id your best bet. They can be found on 404 Marston Rd, Oxford OX3 0JE and have an amazing stock of pianos and woodwind instruments.
Music Courses in Oxford:
For many advanced pianists exploring whether higher education is the right next step is really important. Especially those looking to develop careers as professional musicians. Thankfully Oxford has some fantastic music courses available for pianists and musicians.
For example, the University of Oxford offers a three year Music BA course, with a detailed history of music as part of the course. Indeed, music has been taught at the University of Oxford for over 800 years. With the music department being one of the leading the country.
Oxford Brookes University also offers a BA in Music, broken into 3 years as a full-time student or 5 years as a part-time student.
For younger students, the Popular Music Level 2 Diploma and the Music Performance and Production Level 3 Extended Diploma offer by the City of Oxford College is well worth exploring. Both are full-time courses and are ideal first steps on the route to higher education courses.
I would be delighted to help you to learn to play the piano. Get in touch to find out more about my piano lessons in Oxford.
