About Piano Lessons Sheffield

Jonathan Draper, piano teacher at Piano Lessons Sheffield
Johnathan Draper is a professional piano teacher in Sheffield offering lessons in all genres and styles.

Welcome to Piano Lessons Sheffield! My name is Johnathan Draper and I am a professional piano teacher based in the area offering high-quality lessons in all genres. I teach the majority of my lessons from my home teaching space on Watt Lane, S10 5RB. I feel this is a great place to learn to play the piano as it is a very calm and relaxing environment and has great transport links across the city.

Here is a quick summary of my guitar lessons:

  • All genres taught
  • £15 per half hour/£30 per hour
  • Young learners and adults welcome for lessons
  • Beginners and advanced players welcome

I am a highly qualified teacher having gained grade 8 distinction in Piano, Cello & Music theory. I also have an A level in music as well as over 5 years experience in teaching.

My approach to teaching is very simple. That is to teach my students based on your own musical preferences. I do make sure everyone has a solid understanding of theory but I believe that we can do this in an exciting way by incorporating the music that you love as well.

Beginner students are more than welcome to take lessons, I have a lot of experience in helping beginners progress to more advanced players. More experienced players are also welcome to take lessons with me as I have plenty of experience in helping experienced players tighten up their technique and achieve more difficult goals. If you wish to ask me a question or book a lesson, please get in touch via the details below.

Lessons & Prices

My piano lessons are goal focussed. I like to make sure we have the correct balance to reach the goals or aspirations you may have. I think it is important that we combine Technique, theory and song work to push you in the right direction to becoming a great player. This will be done in an enjoyable manner to make sure we all get the most out of your lessons. For song work, I will make sure we focus on the music that inspires you as I feel this is essential to make quick progress.

Students of all abilities are welcome to take lessons. I have a host of experience in both teaching beginners and advanced players. If you don’t have any idea where to start or have no experience in music, I will make sure we approach learning in a calm and controlled manner at a speed that suits you. If you are a more advanced player, I will make sure we asses where you are and what you want to achieve. We will then create a lesson plan that suits your particular needs.

I charge £15 per half hour/£30 per hour for lessons taught at my home teaching space. To make an enquiry, please send me an email on the address provided below.
