About Piano Lessons Southampton
Welcome to Piano Lessons Southampton! My name is Sam Dando. I am a professional piano teacher with over 2 years experience in teaching students from ages 4 to 90 in a range of styles. I am a mobile teacher which means I will travel to you for your lessons. This is important to ensure you are learning in a familiar and relaxed environment.
Here is a quick summary of my piano lessons:
- Experienced piano tutor
- All styles taught
- Beginner and advanced students welcome
- All ages catered for
- Graded exams available upon request
I am an extensively qualified teacher having gained a BA(Hons) in Music. Grade 8 in Piano. Grade 6 in music theory as well as years of teaching experience.
I have a simple approach to teaching and learning. That is to teach to your needs. Together we will work on a lesson plan that suits your goals and needs. I will also make sure we achieve those goals using tried and tested practice techniques with a solid grounding of the theory behind your playing. This applies if you are learning songs for fun or want to go down the graded exam route.
Beginner students are more than welcome to come for lessons. As are more experienced players looking to improve on a certain aspect of their playing. I have previously taught a wide range of ages from 4 all the way to 90. so no age is too young or too old to start learning. If you have any questions or wish to book a lesson, please get in touch by emailing me.
Lessons & Prices
My Piano lessons are built around your goals and what you want to achieve. I will make sure your lessons consist of the music that you are interested in. I feel the best way to learn is to learn what you love. Using my years of playing experience I will also pay close attention to developing a good technique as well as a good grounding in music theory. I believe these two aspects are vital for anyone to become an accomplished player.
I welcome students of all abilities. So whether you are a complete beginner and have no idea where to start or an experienced player we will make a lesson plan that suits you. All lessons are approached with patience, care and most of all, attention to detail.
