Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.
I offer my tuition to both beginner and advanced learners in a wide range of styles and genres. My lessons are built around the artists and music that you love.
I have played Piano for over 15 years, I studied Music at GCSE and obtained a B. I then went to further my musical knowledge by studying Popular Music at College with a BTEC National Diploma. I attended The University of Salford and obtained a BA Hons 2:1 degree in Popular Music and Recording. I continued my study with a PGCE in Secondary Music Education.
I teach piano and music theory lessons from home. I teach different styles including Classical, Pop, and Jazz, and use a variety of exam boards including ABRSM and Trinity. In my spare time, I rehearse with a vocalist and work on creating piano arrangements of popular songs.
I am currently working as a Part-Time Music Teacher for a Primary School in North Manchester. I teach Piano to Key Stage 2 students and plan class music lessons for all children from Reception to Year 6. Using the guidelines from the national curriculum, I have written my own curriculum and assessment methods.
My aim is to change the children’s attitude to music and to make it a positive, fun, and enjoyable subject for them to look forward to. I have been able to develop children’s aural skills and musical vocabulary.
I believe that every child is musical and is able to express themselves through music even if they do not play an instrument.
Our lessons together will always be at a pace that you feel comfortable with & we will always learn in a direction that you feel comfortable with.
Stockport has a good number of music shops, so getting your hands on instruments and their accessories is fairly easy.
