If you’re looking for contemporary singing lessons as well as the opportunity to develop and build your own brand as an artist, whether it's both or one of those things, then look no further.
I teach a range of contemporary styles including pop, rock, dance, folk, soul, blues, R&B, musical theatre and jazz. Both online and face to face lessons available.
Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.
I welcome both beginners and advanced singers in a wide range of genres and styles. I will make a lesson plan that suits your ability level as a singer.
I am a professional vocal coach, singer, songwriter and recording artist, and have been performing live for 10+ years in bands, as a solo performer and in musical theatre. I am also experienced in playing the piano (grade 5) and guitar.
I have a BA (Hons) Degree in Commercial Music from Bath Spa University and have been working in the music industry as a professional Artist and Talent Manager for 3+ years in London. My industry work has included working for Sony Music and Modest Management, and I have worked with both major acts and developing artists.
I have built up a love for developing new and exciting talent and am dedicated to helping artists reach their goals. I have had my own music played on BBC Radio 1, Heart FM, BBC Introducing and more, and I sing and write professionally for both my own projects and other artists across different genres.
We will improve technique and utilise exercises to gain control over your voice, expand range, improve pitching and dynamics, work on breathing, fix weaker areas, find your own unique voice and style, strengthen chest, mix and head voice, tackle straining issues, work through both popular covers and your own songs.
We will develop your confidence on and off stage, improve overall stage presence, posture and eye contact, study other performers, and work on projecting your voice to the audience.
For artists, We will look at songwriting techniques, work through your own songs, look at chords on piano and/or guitar and how to provide basic accompaniment, develop your artist identity, look at ways to build your online profile from the ground up including social media tips and tricks, look at basic home recording techniques and how to get your demos heard online, discuss where to send your music when looking for radio play, management or record label interest and how to find the right contacts, look at how to set your music up for release, where to gig and how to step into the world of live performance, set up a full campaign and strategy around your next release.
There is a small range of shops and stores available in the area for musicians. Here are a few I'd recommend.
