As well as having been teaching since 2014 I also perform live as regularly as I can across the UK.

My lessons are available to anyone of any ability aged 6 upwards. You do not need to have any prior knowledge or singing experience.

I come from a varied music background which I use to enrich your learning experience. I will always make sure we learn the music you love & enjoy.

My lessons have a big focus on healthy singing: helping you take care of your voice with correct technique.

'My daughter, Lucy, has had singing lessons with Jordan for a number of years. We have always found Jordan to be friendly, reliable, punctual and flexible and Lucy's technique and confidence have both grown considerably. She passed her latest exam with distinction. I would not hesitate to recommend Jordan as a singing teacher.'

About Your New
Singing Teacher

Friendly, helpful and focused on helping you to master your singing technique.

I have been teaching since 2014 and specialise in popular music. I have led some students into the Trinity and Rock School singing exams to achieve a distinction every time. I have a lot of experience in teaching both one to one lessons and group sessions ranging from ages 4-35, every age is considered. In my current teaching practise I use the method of Primal Sounds - (Sigh, Whimper, Whinge and Yell) in order to apply to various musical styles and techniques.

I am an extensively qualified teacher who has achieved a degree in popular music & singing as well as my grade 5 exam in theory. I will use this experience to make sure you learn at the highest level.

Whilst having fun is a focus of my lessons, it is also important to focus on the fine details of singing: making sure you take care of your voice with healthy technique. Every student will need attention in different areas of their singing, and I will be able to identify where you can get better and tailor your lessons to suit your needs.

As your teacher, my ultimate goal is to see you enjoying your singing and achieving whatever goals you set yourself. Whether this be to learn to sing casually, to perfect that karaoke performance or to learn to sing at a professional/grade standard, I am excited to play a part in your journey.

Leeds is a great city for musicians as we're spoilt for choice in the number of reputable music shops. There are a good few that are worth looking at, but here's a short list of some of the most well known:

Dawsons Music Leeds is a great stop for any musician looking for instruments or equipment. They have an impressive store full of kit, including singing studio equipment (digital recorders, microphones, headphones) and PA systems (speakers, mixers and other accessories). The shop is located at 113 Vicar Lane, Leeds, LS1 6PJ.

Located at 13 Eastgate, LS2 7LY, Hobgoblin Music Leeds is a local branch of another established national brand and is an easy place to find good quality equipment. They stock a healthy selection of microphones and various amplification equipment & accessories.

Music Courses in Leeds:

Having studied areas of music and performance myself, I believe a course in music is a fantastic way of turning your passion into a career. Leeds has a number of high-quality institutions that offer various music programmes:

The University of Leeds offers courses in music at undergraduate, masters and PhD level, and is an All-Steinway institution for music: an award that recognises support for students with the highest quality equipment. They also offer combined honours degrees for those wanting to study music and develop other areas of interest at the same time.

Leeds College of Music offer both higher and further education courses in music in short and long course formats. This means LCM is accessible for students as young as 16, and allows you to pick the type of course that you feel is right for you: whether this be evening classes or a short course that develops a specific area of interest, or a full music qualification that gives you a broad range of knowledge and experience.

Leeds Art University offers a course in popular music performance, which is a three-year course that provides students with collaborative performance opportunities with other students across a range of disciplines, with a focus on live performance skills through workshops and 1-to-1 tuition.
