Des

'I just wanted to explore how to sing a little, having never done any in my life. At the age of 64 it turns out I can actually sing, all thanks to Hayley. She is really knowledgeable and more importantly has a way to communicate the techniques required to find or improve your voice at your own pace.'

Local Singing Teacher Tips:

Music Shops in South West London:

There are some fantastic music shops available in the South London area for singers, one of my favourites would be South London Music is located on 7 Grove Vale, Dulwich, London SE22 8EQ. Specialising in classical instruments and sheet music, South London music also has a stocklist of PA and microphones perfect for vocalists.

Another great shop in the area would be Tune Inn. Located on 409 Hither Green Ln, London SE13 6TR Tune inn have a host of new and used musical equipment including microphones, PA speakers, mixers cables, cases and even recording equipment. Everything a vocalist could ever need!

Music Courses in South London:

If you are looking to further your music education there are a lot of courses in London available. South Thames College offer a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Music Performance and Production. Giving you a 360 degree view of the music industry during the course, you will take part in a variety of live performances, this will give you the opportunity to develop your musicianship and to build your ensemble skills, improving your communication, analytical, time management and problem-solving skills.

For students serious about becoming a professional musician and singer, I would recommend taking the BA Honours Degree from ACM London This level 6 course provides its students with the skills and experience necessary to become a world-class musician of both stage and studio. Choose a primary study instrument (Bass, Drums, Guitar or Vocals) and master it. Become a virtuoso soloist, an ensemble expert, a professional session musician, gather skills in songwriting and audio production on them and learn about how the music and creative industries work in detail.
