Hi, I'm Theodora and I'm a professional singing teacher based in Surbiton. I offer high-quality one to one tuition in the Surbiton area.
Since moving to London from Greece I have enjoyed a very successful performing and teaching career, teaching Singing, Piano as well as General Musicianship to students for over 13 years.
I am pleased to offer lessons in singing any genre, however I specialise in the styles of Classical, Opera and Pop singing. I love to individually tailor my lessons around my student's musical preferences and learning needs.

Lessons are informal and together we will create a plan of lessons tailored to you and your individual goals. Meaning you can imrove technical ability while singing your favourite songs.
Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.

From Athens, I originally began my music studies at an early age with Classical Piano and continued with Advanced Music Harmony and Counterpoint studies and gained my Diplomas with Distinction. I then continued with Vocal Studies at the Athens Music Conservatory 1871, where I acquired a Bachelor’s in Vocal Performance and graduated with distinction and 1st prize.
I then joined the Young Artists Opera Course at Nakas Music Conservatory while at the same time was studying at the class of Melodrama of Athens Music Conservatory under the renowned Greek baritone Kostas Paskalis. I then continued vocal training in London at the Royal Academy of Music where I graduated with the PGDip Ram with Specialism in Singing Performance after studying with Alison Pearce, Diane Forlano and Mary Hill.
Over the years I have participated and attended Masterclasses in Greece, Italy and in the UK with Singers and Musicians among which Robert Tear, Alison Pearce, Fragiskos Voutsinos, Ann Howels, Denis O’ Neil, Jose Cura, Mary Plazas, Helmut Rilling of the International Bachakademie Stuttgart on the interpretation on Mathew’s Passion and Panagiotis Adam on the interpretation of Baroque Music.
I can offer professional tuition to students of all ages and abilities, from beginner to professional I can help you find your own voice, and learn how to control this voice and use it to get a lifetime of enjoyment from singing.
I will work wiht you to create an indiviudal progress plan tailored to you and your goals, so each week we can improve our technical singing skills and sing your favourite songs form Opera to Pop music.
I am pleased to offer tuition in harmony, how to harmonise with other voices and create impressive sounds within a group of singers alongside counterpoint and classical training.

South London Music is an independant music store located on 47 Grove Vale, London SE22 8EQ. SLM has a varied stock of classical instruments and sheet music books. If you are looking for sheet music or grade examination books this is the shop I would recommend.
PMT London is one of the largest chain stores in the UK. Located on 35-39 Old St, London EC1V 9HX. PMT have a huge stock of instruments and equipment for alal musicians. For singers PMT stock live and studio micriphones, PA systems and even home recording equipment so you can make your own recordings.
Hobgoblin Music located on 24 Rathbone Pl, Fitzrovia, London W1T 1JA is a family owned business selling musical instruments and music books, with affordable new and used stock and knowledgable staff this is a fantastic spot for buying equipment for young learners.
I can help you reach your musical potential, from singing your favourite songs to learning how to harmonise. I can offer mentorship for those studying at classical colleges and advice on performing under pressure as a singer.
[email protected]My lessons are £20 per half hour and £38 per hour of decicated one-to-one tuition. I also offer three-quarters of an hour lessons at £25.
The lessons take place at my deciated teaching studio in Surbiton KT6 4LU. This is a relaxing environment perfect for learning to sing.
I believe everyone should feel the fantastic benefits of singing, this is why I offer lessons to students of all ages and abilities of age 5+.
I recommend all students take lessons weekly for maximum progress in a shorter time period. However fortnightly lessons are available.
That is no problem at all, just contact me as soon as you can to let me know, this enables me to offer that time slot to another student. Do note that Singing Lessons Surbiton operates a 48-hour cancellation policy, whereby, if a lesson is cancelled within 48 hours of the start date it will be charged at £10 no exceptions.
