Teacher's Biography:

After graduating in advertising in Brussels I moved to Brighton to start a postgrad in music production at the University of Sussex. The guitar is my main instruments as I played it for over 14 years now. I taught children in my neighbourhood while studying. I can also teach about music theory and recording if needed.

Although being able to read music is a plus. I don't push it to my students. But I'm trying to teach them music as a system (e.g. teaching how to build chords instead of giving neck diagrams).

Music Qualifications / Achievements:

  • I learned mostly with a private teacher, mostly jazz
  • Went to jazz summer camps in Belgium
  • I did a year in Antwerp (BE) in a school called the jazz studio
  • I'm now studying music and sonic media at the University of Sussex

1 review for Antoine Canon

Antoine is an enthusiastic, friendly and patient guitar teacher with a depth of knowledge and experience in a range styles from jazz to rock, folk to funk music. Personally he developed my guitar playing, by expanding my theoretical knowledge through the use of extended chord harmony and selected scales, making me a more efficient and knowledgeable playing. Highly recommended for beginners and those wishing to take their playing to the next level.
