Teacher's Biography:

Hi there, my name is Charlie Roberts. I have been playing Bass for well over a decade now, and I am an experienced sight/chart reader.

I studied at BassTech in West London, and went on to play in several bands, one of which became particularly successful. I have gathered endorsements from 'Elixir Strings', 'Kramer Guitars'. I have toured the UK, Europe, North and South America.

Within those tours I have played SXSW (USA), Indie Week (Toronto), Bestival (UK), Download Festival (UK), Brownstock (UK), all of the major O2 Academy's nationwide, KoKo London, along with most of the other venues on the London gigging circuit.

I have recently had contracts on a lot of cruise ships around the EU. I have also been in a variety of Function bands, in which I have played everything from huge weddings to big Business Corporate events. With a set list in excess of 300+ songs from early Motown to the latest top 40.

I love travelling and playing in any environment, working writing and playing with people is what keeps me alive. Being a Bass player, my influences fall at the Funk/Jazz end of the spectrum with influences from Chic, Earth Wind & Fire, Fatback Band, Tower of Power to name but a few.
