I have great fun in lessons with Georgia. I learn a lot (I’m doing music theory). She makes sure she involves music I like into the lessons which makes it more interesting. She’s really kind and funny. We’ve had lessons in person and online and they both work really well. Lessons are really organised and I always know what to prepare. – G aged 15

Georgia has been teaching music theory to my 15 year old for several months. She is reliable, communicative, with amazing musical knowledge of so many instruments & genres. She is thoughtful and kind and definitely puts her students at the heart of her lessons. I was lucky enough to find Georgia from recommendations from other musicians in York – all of whom vouched for her fabulous experience and lovely engaging personality. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Georgia as a music teacher – you’d be lucky to get her!

I started learning upright bass with Georgia a couple of years ago , I find her to be an excellent teacher she is reliable , flexible, and always gears the lesson to my ability level , she is happy to push you on but just as happy to wind things back if need be , you won’t be disappointed with Georgia as your teacher

I bought a bass guitar a few years ago with very limited musical knowledge and zero guitar experience and Georgia was reccomended to me. Georgia not only made lessons engaging by bringing in music that I enjoyed, but also managed to incorporate musical theory into lessons in such a way that made learning theory fun and memorable (and I hate learning theory). I went from not knowing anything to playing in a band and I highly reccomend her as a teacher.

  5. Paddy Wordsworth

I had a mixture of online and in person lessons with Georgia. From the start she grasped where I was at and looked at what I wanted to achieve. Her lessons were great fun and enabled me to make the progress I wanted quickly. Follow up emails to the lesson were helpful as well as sending bass transcriptions. Her teaching style is great and I would fully recommend her!

  6. Harrison Gration

I’ve had lessons with Georgia for a few years now, because of her I’ve gone from knowing almost nothing about music theory to being offered a place at the Royal Academy of Music. She makes every lesson enjoyable and engaging and has a breath of knowledge that stretches from renaissance polyphony to pop, I could not recommend her more highly to anyone looking to gain more knowledge in music at any level.
