Lisa –
The last time I had classical guitar lessons was over 30 years ago and I have been having lessons lessons now for over 3 months. On comparison with my last guitar teacher I didn’t realise that there was so much technique involved in terms of positioning and movement which has improved my guitar playing. We have gone back to basics in terms of rhythm which I had previously skipped over and I particularly enjoy dynamics which enhances pieces. The lessons are well paced, challenging and fun. Practising at home is a pleasure. I plan to take grade 3 I the New Year.

Mrs Knott has been teaching our son guitar for a little over two years. During that time, not only has Mrs Knott helped him achieve fantastic grade results, but she has nurtured a love of the instrument in our ‘not especially musical’ son and more importantly helped him to gain oodles of confidence and self esteem. Mrs Knott has taken great care in getting to know and understanding how our son learns and has adapted both her style and teaching techniques to support him in reaching his potential. Her approach is a fantastic mix of striving to be the best you can be, patience, kindness, belief in her students and fun, we could not recommend her more highly!
