Teacher’s Biography:

Awarded a vocal scholarship whilst studying for a BA (Hons) Drama at Loughborough University, formal training began in my teens. 20 + years of choral and solo singing has given me a broad range of performance experience ranging from early baroque oratorio right through to current popular music.

Recent classical performances have included excerpts from Handel’s Messiah, Haydn’s Stabat Mater, Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte & Elgar’s Sea Pictures. Contemporary performances have included All I Ask of You (Phantom of the Opera), Defying Gravity (Wicked) and Summertime (Porgy and Bess). I also enjoy singing contemporary church music on a regular basis so have a foot in many camps!

My overriding passion is helping people to find their voice, increase their confidence and be able to perform to the best of their ability using tried and tested techniques. With my studio registered as both a Trinity and Rockschool exam centre, you can often take any exams within the comfort of a studio room you are familiar with. I have a 100% pass rate with many students getting distinctions and merits.

I continue to study myself as I believe the voice is an ever-changing instrument…the day we feel we have perfected our voice is the day we should give up!
