Nina focuses on developing a technique that allows you to sing with freedom of expression. She understands that singing is a vulnerable thing and therefore helps you gain confidence and use your voice to express yourself.
Her classes are fun and informative, with the option to learn stagecraft and music theory but as a default focusing on the projection of the voice, rhythm, and creative interpretation as well as emotional delivery of the song.
Nina is a skilled singer-songwriter performing on her own and with multiple bands. She also hosts a weekly open mic night at the Swan with Two Necks.
The styles she performs and teaches include folk/country, jazz, blues, and rock, but she also has a sweet spot for everything avant-garde.
Music Qualifications / Achievements:
Nina started studying music at just 4 years old. She has grade 9 classical piano and has studied jazz and contemporary vocals A level so she has a good understanding of both classical and contemporary singing techniques.
Nina has later trained with a coach working with muscle awareness and releasing muscle tension, and she now focuses on vocal health and singing with freedom.
