I started lessons with Tom this year and can confidently say that my knowledge of guitar and music in general has already improved thanks to him. It was very clear from the first lesson that Tom is invested in his students actually applying their knowledge and investing real time into practice. I also feel accountable for my home learning thanks to Tom regularly setting me things to do and learn outside of lessons. I have also discovered new music and ways of playing thanks to Tom exposing me to influential musicians. Fantastic teacher

I’ve been getting guitar and music theory lessons from Tom since December 2023. From the first lesson he gave me a very tailored learning structure. I have ADHD and wanted to be open about it as it’s affected my learning in the past. Tom is an incredibly helpful person and puts a notable amount of effort into ensuring that I am progressing every lesson and also takes plenty of time outside the lesson to check in and help me if I am struggling with anything or just have a simple question. He also keeps me focused and manages my need to overcomplicate, whilst also keeping me aware of the work that is needing to be put in. His ability to balance helpful support, structured discipline and general enjoyment of the lessons is really quite remarkable. I can only speak for myself, but I know first hand how much effort he has put in to cater for my schedule, learning requirements and specific and sometimes changing music goals. I couldn’t recommend him enough. Tom is a very kind and easy going guy who treats his students’ time incredibly seriously and valuably.
