Hello, my name is Howard Smith and I am skilled guitar repairer based in Clarendon Park, Leicester, able to undertake set-up, repairs and modifications to all types of fretted stringed instruments including electric and acoustic guitars and basses, mandolins and banjos.
As an experienced instrument repairer, with over twenty years helping musicians maintain and modify their instruments – including over ten years working for Sheehan’s music store, I can help assist you with a wide range of different services to suit your situation.
These include guitar set-ups, refrets, electrical and rewiring services, machinehead replacement, headstock and neck repairs – as well as a range of other services to address less-frequent issues with stringed instruments. I’ve just purchased a 7 string, changed the strings from 9’s to 10’s & the damn thing won’t go in tune & the bridge is all over the place.
