Testimonials:
“Hey, Neil asked me to write a few words about the lessons I have with him. Well – they are pretty cool. I asked him if we could concentrate on composition with regards to rhythm. I love R&B and was the main reason for learning to play. Well too date I have had 4/5 lessons and am really pleased with the way things are shaping up. I think what helps is the instrument. Neil has got one of these electronic piano’s with all the bells and whistles and it makes for some really interesting lessons – especially for someone like me.
I want to say a massive thank you to Neil who has just help me achieve Grade 5 piano in the last few days. Wow, what can I say I have achieved Grade 5 and am so happy. Neil’s patience, guidance and his learning programme were brilliant. Anyone looking to learn should look no further than here. ” without you none of this would have been possible.” – Kenes (16)
“What great news, both daughters achieving distinctions in their Grade 1 exams ( Dec 2017 ). My wife and I are so happy. Thanks, Neil Duminda.” – Proud Dad

My son and I have been taking lessons with Mr James for about 2 months now and are really enjoying the lesson time. Mr James takes the time to explain how some of the difficult phrases need to be played and is incredibly patient. I learnt to play the piano as a child and opted to start learning again with my son. Mr James lessons are very relaxing resulting in lots of laughter when I get it wrong. I feel that both of us are making good progress and am enjoying learning and playing.

Hi
Neil has been teaching me ( well trying to -when I listen) for about 6 months now and I thoroughly enjoy our lessons. I think it’s fair to say I am still very much at the beginning but have mastered to play nearly all of the piano time pieces book and am now tackling christmas carols and songs.
As one of Mr James’ older students I am really enjoying his style of teaching that is very relaxing and incredibly interesting where he takes the time to explain how phrases should be played and always smiles when I forget to play it how he showed me ( for the 3rd time). Neil is a great teacher and am thrilled to be playing the piano in my retirement.

Mr James is an outstanding teacher who has really inspired me to learn to play the piano. I have been learning with Mr James for about 6 months and really look forward to our weekly lessons. Mr James’ lessons are incredibly rewarding and he really takes the time to explain how phrases should be played and is incredibly patient (as he sometimes has to tell me three times). I have no issue in recommending him for lessons. As a complete beginner starting something new late on in life I really enjoy playing and look forward to the next challenge he sets me.

Neil has been teaching me since the summer and I really enjoy the lessons. As a complete beginner Neil’s patience has been the making of me progressing as far as I can. We have moved onto learning classical music in the last few weeks which I choose to do and the pieces are really beginning to take shape. I cannot recommend Neil highly enough as a teacher.

Neil is an outstanding teacher. I started learning with him back in September this year and I thoroughly enjoy our lessons together. In fact I started learning after a recommendation from a friend of mine, Linda who comes for lessons to. I’m sure everyone says it but Neil is very patient and doesn’t mind telling me the same thing over and over until I get it. I’ve always wanted to learn too play the piano from when I was a little girl, now I’m retired I have the time and love it.

Neil has been teaching my son Ben for the past 6 months after he decided he wanted to learn too play. As Ben is not yet 16, I sit in on the lessons and I have to say the lessons are brilliant. What I think is good is that Neil is so patient and really seems to connect with Ben encouraging him all the time. I think the best thing is that Ben is currently doing his grade 1 piano and Neil always asks Ben to make up a song/tune to help with his creative side. I have seen Ben’s confidence grow and lessons with Neil has really helped that. Thankyou.

Hi, I just wanted to say a quick note to say thanks to Neil for teaching me the piano/keyboard. I started learning with Neil this year and the lessons are a total tonic after being at work all day. It has made me realise that I have so much to learn but im getting there. Ive just a bought myself my first electric piano and am really excited about playing it. I’m still getting use to playing with both hands but thanks to Neil I am getting it , enjoying it and making good progress. Thanks

Neil has been teaching my daughter Chloe for 6 months now. Chloe is 9 years old and to say she is excited to go to lessons is an understatement. I don’t want to say there has been a transformation, but Chloe has definitely improved her ability to focus since coming to private lessons with Neil. As well as being able to harness the wild side of Chloe through the lessons, Neil has been able to engauge with Chloe giving her the one to one attention that she would not receive in school classroom. In return I have noticed Choe’s ability to concentrate is improving as she is beginning to see the rewards of being able to play the piano through her lessons with Neil.
I am excited about the future and hope that Chloe sticks with it.

I have been having lessons with Neil for quite some time now ( weekly) and I thoroughly enjoy them. I do not live in Swindon and staying one night a week I wanted to do something useful with my time – so it was Piano Lessons!! I know everybody has a preferred way of learning, but for me after working all day, I want a relaxed informal lesson playing the kind of music I love and that’s what Neil and I do. Neil is really good at picking out the detail and working with me on the difficult parts, you know the part where you get to in a song/piece and then cant play it because it’s too difficult. Well Neil has taught me skills that enables me to go and practice those parts that enables be to build and then play the piece. I’ve been able to adapt that method to many pieces and now have at least 3-4 really good pieces/songs that I can play. Looking forward to the next challenge. Peter
