It has been great to hear that Owen Evans, a guitar teacher who I have worked with for many years in Aberdeen, has launched a new website that is a network and database for bands, acts and promoters across the UK. The website, named Major Vibe, has already got some great bands involved including Biffy Clyro and Twin Atlantic.
Owen is seeking to build up an incredibly detailed database of bands and artists from across the UK, enabling musicians to understand new touring locations better (for example which venues you want to play at and those to avoid!). It will also be a space where music enthusiasts can find out more about new bands, while fans can help to promote their favourite music. This will all be supported by interested and new content produced each month for Major Vibe regulars, as well anyone signed up to the MV newsletter – so check the new website out here www.majorvibe.com.
