SHED studios – Manchester
We are delighted to feature little studio in South Manchester called ‘SHED studios‘ as our local recording studio of the week.
Ran by Kommy, the studio is built around the idea that recording time should be affordable and flexible. They are currently doing a ‘record your song for £60’ offer which allows people to come in and record their song acoustically (or to piano/backing track) – the price includes the mix and master etc so the £60 is literally the only cost.
You will be in good hands during the recording – Kommy is an experienced touring musician, musical director and producer. He’s played massive shows all over the world (Ajinomoto Stadium: 60,000 people in Japan, Manchester Arena, Torwar Hall: 10,000 in Poland, 02 Apollo etc), as well as writing music for some of the UK’s largest music studios Chapel Studios (Sting, Britney Spears, Eric Clapton), Edge Studios (Plan B, The Script, 5SOS) and Blueprint (Rihanna, 1D).
SHED studios also offer full live band recording videos from £120, which is perfect for bands who want a full recording but perhaps can’t afford spending hours and hours in a studio.
Then for general use, studio time is only £22 per hour and ranks as one of (if not THE) most affordable in Manchester. Most important of all is Kommy’s recording philosophy – that musicians are allowed to make mistakes in the studio, which should be relaxed and warm environment where musicians come together to collaborate on creating the best songs that their talent will enable.
