Teacher's Biography:

Sally's fun, friendly lessons are designed to help you learn to love music while learning the necessary technique and theory alongside – whether as a singer or a woodwind player.

Sally is a professional performer, who has played and sung for major musicals including Sister Act, Saturday Night Fever, and Copacabana, as well as playing with rock'n'roll and swing bands, cabarets, and concerts across the UK. She has a 1st Class degree from the Liverpool Institute for Arts and over ten years’ experience in the theatre industry.

Sally teaches clarinet, flute, and sax – working on reading notation, developing style and musicality, tuning, good tone, and enjoying playing the music you enjoy.

She also teaches musical theatre and pop/rock singing, helping you to find your own voice, to develop your technique, and interpret a song.

She does not usually teach to a graded syllabus but instead focuses on learning to play or sing for individual enjoyment and development.

Sally is highly experienced working with children and young people and has taught performing arts in schools, colleges, and universities across the UK.

Music Qualifications / Achievements:

  • 1st Class BA (Hons) Degree in Performing Arts, LIPA
  • ABRSM Grade 8 Clarinet
