Teacher’s Biography:

I initially studied pipe band drumming to learn all the rudiments needed before studying the full drum kit. I first played with local pop bands in central Scotland and then left the country to play the drums in Jersey, Isle of Wight, Spain, and England.

I went on to become a Session Drummer in England working for the Beverley Agency and played in a variety of venues all over England. I returned to Scotland and enhanced my drumming experience by studying various other types of drum music under the guidance of Andy White from the BBC. I then studied how to read drum music under the guidance of the percussionist with the Scottish Symphony Orchestra.I still play with various bands when asked but now mostly teach.

Lessons are an hour long on a 1:1 basis and cover reading, playing, technique, and listening, using the following books: Dave Hassell Drums 1&2, Rock School Drums, Absolute Beginners Drums.

I have been taught by Andy White from BBC. Andy played on a version of ”LOVE ME DO” by the BEATLES and was producer George Martin’s studio drummer at Abbey Road.

Music Qualifications / Achievements:

• Drum tuition from ex-professional drummer for all ages from beginners to advanced
• I teach up to grade 6 Rock School Drums
