|Hello, my name is||

|Here is a little bit about me...||
I am Mark Arnold, a professional musician and guitar tutor based in the New Forest covering all styles but specialising in pop-rock, rock, funk and blues.
My approach to tuition is based on the needs and abilities of my students. I have many ideas and concepts for students who want to take their guitar playing to the next level, whether a beginner or at an advanced level. I have experience of taking students through graded exams from RGT, Rockschool and Trinity in Electric, Acoustic and Classical guitar. I can also help you with GCSE and A level music and prepare you for auditions at a higher level.
Besides teaching I am regularly gigging in bands and have toured extensively over the UK and Europe in my career.
I currently work in six schools teaching all levels of guitar in both the state and independant sector.
My main influences include major international artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Frank Zappa, Steve Vai, Carlos Santana, Eddie Van Halen, David Gilmour, Mark Knopfler, Rory Gallagher, Scott Henderson, Eric Johnson and many more.
|I started teaching music because...||
I started to learn by teaching myself from music books, watching other guitarists and playing along to my favourite bands. Still, when I later began taking lessons, I realised that a good teacher could help me to achieve my goals faster and more effectively. When I started teaching students of my own, I wanted to help them in the same way as my teachers have helped me and inspire them to love playing the guitar!
|The music that really inspires me is...||
My early guitar influences came from the 50’s, 60’s & 70’s bands The Shadows, Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles and more. But over time, I have discovered many other artists that I admire and who influence my playing and teaching.
|I teach the following instrument(s):||
Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Ukulele, Bass Guitar
